Our annual Summer Packing and Distribution is right around the corner! Reach out to volunteer at one or both of these essential events. Volunteers assist us in packing donated items of necessity into bags for distribution - and help distribute them to the unhoused of Tarrant County. Your support is invaluable, and we'd love to see you there!
Packing begins at 12:30pm on Saturday, June 14 at WhenWeLove, located at 110 E Lancaster, Fort Worth, TX 76102. Depending on the number of volunteers, this should take around 2 hours. Standing may be required.
Distribution will be the following morning at 7:30am. This event also requires standing and will take around 2 hours from start to finish.
We appreciate everyone who supported us this North Texas Giving Day. If you missed the chance to participate and would like to contribute to our cause, we also accept donations here.
Originally founded in 1999 as a personal Christmas project by Anna Gaines who filled 20 bags with gloves and socks, the project has grown to more than 50 volunteers filling 500 adult and 40 children’s bags in December and 480 bags in the spring with items for homeless persons throughout the county.
The mission of the Labre Society is to provide items of basic living necessity to those experiencing homelessness in Tarrant County, Texas.
The Labre Society is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization.
