Mark Your Calendars: North Texas Giving Day is 9/17/20!
Get up and give! North Texas Giving Day is back - and a great way to give back to non-profits in your community. Please consider offering your support for Labre Society this year, and be sure to ask your employer if they offer donation matches during this time!
We hope everyone is safe and well during these trying times. As you may know, Labre Society usually packs and distributes bags of necessity to the homeless of Tarrant County twice a year. With everyone's safety top-of-mind, we decided to cancel this June's packing and distribution. Instead, we have donated $1,000 to When We Love. Thank you all for your support and understanding - we look forward to seeing you this winter!
2019 Winter Distribution
Thank you to our awesome volunteers who packed and distributed 480 relief bags for the homeless of Tarrant County this winter. We couldn't have done it without you!
Originally founded in 1999 as a personal Christmas project by Anna Gaines who filled 20 bags with gloves and socks, the project has grown to more than 50 volunteers filling 500 adult and 40 children’s bags in December and 480 bags in the spring with items for homeless persons throughout the county.
The mission of the Labre Society is to provide items of basic living necessity to homeless individuals in Tarrant County, Texas.
The Labre Society is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization.
